This privacy policy covers the StellarStacks website and initial enquiries. It does not replace project-specific data processing terms.
Who is responsible
StellarStacks is responsible for handling the website enquiries described in this notice. Contact address: 2–4 Salt Lane, Salisbury, SP1 1DU. Telephone: 01722 632037. You can also use our contact form for privacy enquiries.
Information collected
When you enquire, we collect your name, email address, optional company name and message, together with any information you choose to provide in follow-up correspondence. Website hosting and security services also process technical information such as IP address, browser details, request times and visited pages. Please avoid submitting confidential client records or sensitive personal information in an initial enquiry.
Why we use information
We use enquiry details to respond, understand requirements and discuss potential work. Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract with you, the basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract. For business enquiries made on behalf of an organisation, we rely on legitimate interests in responding to relevant enquiries and managing business relationships. We rely on legitimate interests in keeping the website secure and preventing spam. Optional analytics require your consent through the cookie controls.
Website services and sharing
The website is hosted on WordPress.com and uses Jetpack forms and Akismet spam protection, provided by Automattic. Form submissions are stored within WordPress and sent as email notifications to the business operator's Gmail inbox, provided by Google. These providers process information needed for hosting, form handling, email delivery, security and spam checks. GSAP animation files are delivered through jsDelivr, which receives technical request data when its files load. Provider information is available in Automattic's privacy notice and Google's privacy notice.
International processing
Our service providers may process information outside the UK. The location and transfer arrangements depend on the service used. Automattic and Google describe their international processing and safeguards in the privacy notices linked above. Contact us if you would like more information about a particular provider. You can request information about the safeguards used through the contact details above.
How long information is kept
We retain enquiry correspondence only while it is needed to respond, assess potential work and maintain a relevant record of that discussion. We consider the enquiry's status, ongoing communications and any need to establish or defend legal claims. If an enquiry becomes a project, retention arrangements will be set out in the applicable project documentation.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact us using the details above to exercise your rights; we may need to verify your identity.
Your right to object
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your particular situation. You can object to direct marketing at any time. Submitting an enquiry does not itself sign you up to a marketing mailing list.
Cookies
Cookie controls allow you to choose optional analytics while necessary technologies support site operation and remember your choices. See our Cookie Policy and use the Cookie settings button in the footer to change your choice.
Complaints and changes
Please contact us first if you have a concern. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. We will update this notice when the website's processing changes. Last updated 12 October 2026.
